Coppice Park & surrounding area

Reported via mobile in the Open spaces category anonymously at 14:27, Tuesday 18 June 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 day, 20 hours, 13 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 6122959.

I appreciate the difficulty with budgets annd recent bad weather and also the need for leaving grass longer in places to encourage biodiversity however grass verges and the Coppice Park field are now overgrown to a point where they are a nuisance. The park area is not usable by children for kicking a ball around (presumably we want to encourage kids to be active) as the grass is so long. Even if it is now cut, if grass is left lying it will still cause a problem. For dog walkers the spikes from grass seed heads are a danger for pets even on pavements where verges aren’t cut. There is no where to walk to avoid these. Please can you advise if any grass cutting is planned in the near future.

  • Our Urban and Rural grass cutting schedule will start mid-April 2024, full details of the grass cutting programme will be published on our website nearer the time.

Our works programme is very weather dependant and subject to delays. We therefore ask that you remain patient should there be delays or excessive growth in-between cuts.
