Overgrown hedges obscuring junction
Reported via desktop in the Hedge problem category anonymously at 11:15, Mon 17 June 2024
Sent to Amersham Town Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6116373.
This issue arises every year at this location. Overgrown hedges obstruct the view of traffic on New Road for vehicles exiting Plantation Way onto New road. This problem is exacerbated when vehicles park opposite the junction thus forcing traffic to approach the junction on the ‘wrong’ side of the road. I’m aware of several minor accidents at this junction and I feel it’s only a matter of time before there is a serious collision. The most desirable outcome would be to compel the residents either side of the junction to remove the hedges completely and to place parking restrictions on New Road opposite the junction with Plantation Way.
