Pavement on Skirmett Road close to the A4155 junction

The hedge is so over grown that you have to step on to Skirmett Road off the pavement. All along the pavement on Skirment Road up to the car park on the left hand side, is very over grown and the weeds are. very tall coming out of the road! This pavement is very busy as lots of people park in the car park and walk down to Hambleden Marina & lock.

  • A Highway Officer will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days, some weeds due to their location may require a specialist equipment for safety reasons, if your Highway Officer is unable to clear the weeds on site, they will arrange for the specialist team carry out the work, which in some cases can take up to 28 days.

  • An order has been raised to repair the issue reported, this will be a permanent repair to be carried out as soon as possible. However, there are occasions when a temporary repair is carried out for safety reasons until such time as we can mobilise resources to make the repair permanent.

    To ensure the highway network remains as safe as possible we will continue to carry out our regular Highways Safety Inspections which will include this issue until such times as the permanent repair is made
