Reported via mobile in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 20:34, Tue 14 May 2024
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5974328.
MV09CWN has now been abandoned near 21 Carrington Road, High Wycombe for over 6 weeks. It has not moved in that time. It has severe accident damage and a flat tyre. It has no road tax. It is taking up a valuable parking space resulting in a lack of natural passing spaces on a narrow road with vehicles parked on one side. As such passing vehicles are mounting pavements and putting pedestrians at risk.
It is the Council's responsibility to remove abandoned vehicles. According to gov.uk, this vehicle meets the required criteria to be categorised as abandoned:
Councils and national park authorities (authorities) must remove abandoned vehicles from:
Land in the open air (including private land) roads (including private roads)
Authorities must decide if a vehicle is abandoned. This is likely if at least one of the following applies:
It has no keeper on DVLA’s database and is untaxed - check vehicle tax online it’s stationary for a significant amount of time it’s significantly damaged, run down or unroadworthy, for example has flat tyres, missing wheels or broken windows it’s burned out a number plate is missing
Please action asap. Thank you.
