Road closure signage left on road following closure

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5965274.

One.Network shows works here on Main Road 4 May - 5 May 2024 however the signage to warn drivers of the closure was left either side of the closure outside of the closure dates which was extremely inconvenient as the diversion routes are quite long when no works are taking place on the road.

Updates

  • Most planned roadworks are completed before the published end date, however, in some cases they can overrun due to unforeseen circumstances for example bad weather. The Utility Company should contact us, as the Highway Authority and request permission to extend their stay and may incur daily fines if they do not adhere to the conditions within their permit.

    A Highway Officer will attend the site and make contact with the Utility Company, to discuss the terms of their permit conditions.
