Elmhurst road junction Cannock road Aylesbury

Reported via mobile in the Bollards or railings category anonymously at 20:05, Sun 14 April 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5851512.

Crossing island in centre of very busy road has no lights or bollards due to being hit by a car, obviously a good driver. This was damaged last year and temporary keep left road signs were put in place, but these have now been damaged by another skilled car driver so presently there are no roads signs, bollards or lighting, just two concrete islands and some debris which has now, in my opinion, become dangerous for pedestrians crossing this busy road at this designated place (this is a very well used crossing point) and to drivers of vehicles it would appear that pedestrians were standing in the middle of road. IT IS NOT SAFE.

Updates

  • This has been passed to a Highways Officer to investigate the enquiry/issue.

An inspection will be carried out within the next 20 working days, if a replacement bollard/railing is required, this may take up to 12-14 weeks as we do not hold these items in stock. Please note, if the issue reported is a danger to the public, we will make the area safe until a permanent fix can be scheduled in.
