Micklefield road junction with London Road

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights & crossings problems with timings category anonymously at 15:54, Friday 12 April 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5840601.

There are two significant issues that regularly occur at this junction. Firstly, when travelling west on the London Road when I start moving at a green light in my favour vehicles are regularly continuing to exit the road from the retail park leading to near collisions. It's difficult to know whether this is because the changeover sequence between the lights on the London Road and the side road are too finely defined, or it maybe that vehicles emerging from the retail park are driving through a red light signal. Secondly, when a vehicle wishes to turn left into the retail park from the London Road, they do so when they see a green filter arrow indicating that it's safe to proceed. Unfortunately drivers traveling east on the London Road and wishing to turn right into the retail park are also receiving a green light leading to a near collision between the two streams of traffic which are simultaneously receiving a green light to proceed .
