Mattress & sofa dumped on Melbourne Rec
Reported via mobile in the Flytipping (off-road) category anonymously at 19:28, Tue 9 April 2024
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5831267.
Just a few weeks after the last lot of flytipping was removed, a new lot has been dumped in exactly the same spot.
The mattress and sofa are on Melbourne Recreation ground along the fence line closest to the entrance on Buckingham Close. They are immediately visible on the right as you walk up the (disintergrating) path from Micklefield road.
Given the frequency and volume of flytipping on Melbourne rec, surely some prevention measures are warranted? CCTV perhaps or staggered barriers/gates that will prevent large items from being dragged in from any of the three entrances?
Please pass on to the organisation who is responsible if not Bucks Council.
