The hedge and bushes obstructing parking on your street longland way High Wycombe. Request for Trimming of Hedges and Bushes on longland way I hope you are well. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue that has been affecting our community on longland way.Over the past few months, there has been a growing concern regarding the overgrown hedges and bushes along the roadside. These vegetation encroachments have significantly reduced the available parking space, making it challenging for residents to park their vehicles safely and comfortably. It has reached a point where approximately 50% of the road space is occupied by these obstructions. As a resident of Longland way, I understand the importance of maintaining a safe and accessible environment for all members of the community. Therefore, I kindly request your assistance in addressing this matter by arranging for the trimming or removal of the hedges and bushes along our street.I believe that by taking proactive measures to clear the roadside vegetation, we can enhance the safety and convenience of parking for everyone in the neighborhood. Please let me know if there is any additional information or documentation required from my end to facilitate this request. I am more than willing to provide any assistance needed to expedite the process.Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to a positive resolution. Resident Many thanks

  • A Highway Officer will carry out an initial assessment of the tree, emergency issues will be corrected or made safe at the time of the inspection, if reasonably practicable to do so. In this context, making safe may constitute displaying warning notices, coning‐off or fencing‐off to protect the public from the tree or other suitable action.

If the inspection team cannot make safe the defect at the time of inspection, then they will instigate the relevant emergency call procedures to ensure appropriate resources are mobilised to make the tree safe. Highway Officers are not qualified as tree experts and in some cases they may need to arrange for a tree surgeon to visit the site and carry out a survey on the tree which can take up to 12 weeks.

There may also be occasions when the issue reported will be classified as a minor defect and does not pose any risk to either the safety or the integrity of the highway, these are called minimum recording levels as specified in our Highways Safety Inspection Policy , in these cases no action will be taken.
