I have received 2 emails, one saying the problem has been referred to a technician and the other giving me a reference number. I have not been aware of any other action.

The council has acknowledged the problem, but there has been no obvious action. The council sent contractors to fix it a year or so ago, but it appeared to be a Friday afternoon job ( it was a Friday afternoon). The council technician expressed his frustration, but said it was impossible to get the contractor back to fix the job properly.
