What is wrong is that none of the payment machines were accepting payment in this car park and the exchange street car park it was impossible for me to pay because I didn't have a phone with me. When I tried to pay retrospectively once I returned home i could not get through to anyone and can't pay retrospectively on the payment telephone line. All the machines were broken and taped up, in both car parks . Everyone I met was struggling to pay as machines were not working. There was one in exchange street car park that was taking coins and I had to repark there to try and get telephone numbers or work out if I could pay at another machine , which I could not. I feel it is unfair that those who have cash or card were left trying to struggle to pay at Waterside north and no retrospective payment options were available on the phone line with Ringo. Also when you call the phone line the wrong location is recorded for this carpark . It says upper floor, there is no upper floor in Waterside north Charges should not be applied if there are not payment options available for people without their phone . this was at just after 5pm 27 March 2024. I made my best efforts to pay for my parking that day, when I returned home I tried to resolve the issue through live chat but it was not available I eventually paid for parking for a time an hour after I left.
