Street Light not working east bound (outside 37 Guinions Road HP13 7NT) which illuminates the table top speed ramp

Reported via desktop in the Street light not working category anonymously at 07:34, Thursday 28 March 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5776330.

This street light has not worked for several weeks. I first reported this fault on the 25.01.2024 (ref 5490273), on the 27.01.2024 I recieved an email to say the light has been fixed, which it was not. So I emailed again on the 29.01.2024 (ref 5506239) to inform your department that the light is still not working. Since then I waited a few weeks to allow time for the rescheduling of the work to be carried out as per the website suggestion. Recently I called the Bucks Council landline number and spoke to a gentlman about the Light n/w, he said he will look into the delay and get someone to call me. That has not happened. Please can someone fix the light. Thanking you in Anticipation

Updates

  • The Street Lighting Team aim to repair all faulty lighting within 20 working days, however, there may be some circumstances that this time for repairs is be extended. For example, if it is an electricity supply fault, this will be passed to the local electricity network operator to attend and rectify as we cannot work on their network, in these cases we will update you to let you know it is an electricity supply fault.

We are experiencing a system issue at the moment which is stopping us from providing updates on lighting issues, please be assured all street lighting defects are being inspected and fixed but until we have resolved the updates issue you may see the light fixed without receiving any updates.

We know that faulty lighting is very important to our residents, and we take all reported issues very seriously. In the latter part of 2023, we recruited night scouts to review all of the 40,000 lighting assets we maintain in Buckinghamshire, the information from this review and all customer reported issues are now being addressed and will be resolved as soon as possible.

  • Update

We have attended the site and have carried out a full assessment on the lighting column, 95% of lighting reports are repaired on the first visit, as they are generally more minor issues such as replacing the bulb. Unfortunately, there are occasions when further work is required.

This assessment highlighted that there is a fault with the electrical supply and further investigation is required by the local electricity network operator, we have forwarded the details to them. We cannot work on their network, and we also have no control over the electricity supplier service levels, which tend to be up to 90 working days.

Once the electricity supplier has contacted us to advise the supply fault has been resolved, we will then check that the issue is fixed and will update this report.
