Private hedges growing over the public pavement
Reported via desktop in the Hedge problem category anonymously at 10:30, Sun 24 March 2024
Sent to Marlow Town Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5758494.
Private hedges at the front of no's 5, 9, 13, 15, 17 & 25 Trinity Ave have been allowed to grow at least a foot over the public pavement. This is particularly a problem because pavement parking along this stretch restricts space for pedestrians from the other side (the pavement parking is unavoidable if bin lorries are to get up the street, sadly). Trinity Ave, and especially the west-side pavement, is an important pedestrian route, linking Holy Trinity and Marlow Infants schools and much used by parents and children. Don't be fooled by no. 5, whose brickwork drive also crosses over the private/public boundary to match the hedge-line.

The Town Council reported the issue as resolved *on receipt* of the notification, and not because the hedges had been cut back, or potentially even the owners contacted. As of today the overgrown hedges have still not been fixed.

Virtually a year after first being reported, these hedges continue to overgrow a busy public pavement, which is additionally restricted by pavement parking. Please address the issue, Marlow TC. Thanks.
