PArking on double yellow lines

Reported via desktop in the Parking on double yellow lines category by Helen Griffiths at 09:04, Thu 21 March 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5746598.

There is a school taxi business that parks their vehicles on this road during the day after school drop off. The cars used to park in the Dr's surgery, but the surgery has now imposed parking charges so the vehicles are parking on the double yellow lines because they are not enforced. This is a narrow road and illegal parking causes congestion and danger to pedestrians. Thank you for any action you can take to deter this behaviour. If you are sending in a traffic warden - you can access Townfield Lane from the alleyway beside the Bakers (lovely cakes!) on the High Street so you do not have to walk all the way to Townfield Lane via Bowstridge Lane.

  • This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.

Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
