Upon entering Oakdene, on the right hand side of the road just before the chicane

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5742144.
I first reported this issue in May 2023 and the photos attached were sent to you at that time. Your contractors attended earlier this year but, after strenuous efforts, they were not able to go deep enough to clear the problem. They told me that they needed heavier equipment and that they would report to the Council that further work was needed. Nothing has since happened. Can this please be attended to as the blockage is severe and prevents water from draining away properly.

This has been passed to the Highway Officer to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
The Highway Officer is only able to inspect the drain when the water has cleared away, this will be done within 10 days and if required, an order will be raised to clear the drain.

An order has been raised to repair the issue reported, this will be a permanent repair to be carried out as soon as possible. However, there are occasions when a temporary repair is carried out for safety reasons until such time as we can mobilise resources to make the repair permanent.
To ensure the highway network remains as safe as possible we will continue to carry out our regular Highways Safety Inspections which will include this issue until such times as the permanent repair is made
