Dangerously overgrown grass and bushes on A4010

Reported via mobile in the Grass cutting category anonymously at 11:34, Friday 8 March 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5685541.

There is no meaningful pavement on the corner of Risborough Road (A4010) alongside the external boundary to Little Kimble House. This is very overgrown (it has not been cut or maintained for several years) and, most dangerously, is where there is a marked crossing just before the right turn and to Thame, Chinnor and Longwick.

This is also becoming a popular walk with the multiple new housing developments nearby, as well as Little Kimble station, Stewart Hall and Griffin House School all on this stretch. It is obviously especially dangerous for children and the elderly as there isn’t really a footpath here, the traffic speeds past at over 60mph just brushing your coat if you’re lucky and there is no chance if you have a pushchair or wheelchair. Very grateful if you can address this as soon as possible.

The worst area of overgrowing is on the southern side of the road between Brookside Lane and Grove Lane.

  • Our Urban and Rural grass cutting schedule will start mid-April 2024, full details of the grass cutting programme will be published on our website nearer the time.

Our works programme is very weather dependant and subject to delays. We therefore ask that you remain patient should there be delays or excessive growth in-between cuts.
