A pair of highly misleading, advance warning, yellow roadside roadworks signs, should be removed asap

Reported via iOS in the Unauthorised signs category anonymously at 05:17, Wed 28 February 2024

Sent to Lacey Green Parish Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5641837.

Locations: a)the crossroads of Loosley Hill with Lower Road [as per photos]; b)the junction of Foundry Lane with Lower Road.

Yellow roadside boards erected in mid-February, warn that the section of Lower Road will be 24/7 closed from 4-10 March. This information was published at the time on one.network. However within a couple of days one.network was updated and now shows that the dates for the planned UKPN work & closure, have been changed to 22-28 April, AND that the planned closure includes an adjoining section of Foundry Lane. The incorrectly dated yellow boards have remained in place at either end of the section of Lower Road. They should be removed asap.

It was unclear how best to report this using FixMyStreet.

Updates

  • Cancel the report. On Wednesday morning 28 February both of the yellow boards have been removed [on Tuesday 27 February?]
