Both machines not working.

Reported via mobile in the Faulty pay machine category anonymously at 20:41, Wednesday 21 February 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5612140.

Both machines have not been working since Tuesday 13 February. On that day one of the machines indicated it was working but printed void transaction tickets. Today Wednesday 21 February one machine in error one machine not in use. This has gone on for over a week. Not everyone has a smart phone to download the app or pay online. Also the phone number has been out of action. I parked there Tuesday 13 February in the afternoon and displayed a void ticket but was given a parking ticket. My car was only observed for 3 minutes before penalty notice was issued. Someone else who was parked a few cars down displayed a void ticket at the same time but wasn't issued with a penalty notice. Where are people meant to park when machines are not working and they don't have a phone on their person or one that is suitable to pay online? People will stop coming to shop in Princes Risborough. Parishioners of the church nearby use the car park and so do members of Risborough Springs. This is totally unacceptable. Also the overhead barrier at the exit has been damaged and looks like this could easily fall on a vehicle or a pedestrian.
