Reported via iOS in the Street light intermittent category anonymously at 18:41, Monday 5 February 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5535812.

Thank you for the update provided

Whilst I understand and accept your statements why can’t you switch the bloody thing off

This is keeping me awake at night and I’m sure you would rather deal with it now as opposed to discussing it in court

You have 48 hours to turn it off else I’m starting proceedings to sue you on health and social care reasons

You have been told 3 times now

Thank you

Updates

  • The Street Lighting Team aim to repair all faulty lighting within 20 working days, however, there may be some circumstances that this time for repairs is be extended. For example, if it is an electricity supply fault, this will be passed to the local electricity network operator to attend and rectify as we cannot work on their network, in these cases we will update you to let you know it is an electricity supply fault.

We are experiencing a system issue at the moment which is stopping us from providing updates on lighting issues, please be assured all street lighting defects are being inspected and fixed but until we have resolved the updates issue you may see the light fixed without receiving any updates.

We know that faulty lighting is very important to our residents, and we take all reported issues very seriously. In the latter part of 2023, we recruited night scouts to review all of the 40,000 lighting assets we maintain in Buckinghamshire, the information from this review and all customer reported issues are now being addressed and will be resolved as soon as possible.
