LU7 9EH - outside 5 Church Road

Reported via desktop in the Road surface category anonymously at 12:33, Mon 5 February 2024

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5533955.

There is a manhole outside our house on the road that is in danger of collapsing as the surrounding concrete has worn away. It is extremely noisy as vehicles drive over it and it gets worse every day.

Buckinghamshire Highways operates two methods for safety defect identification; proactively by Highway Inspectors, who identify safety defects in line with Buckinghamshire Councils' Highway Safety Inspection Policy and reactively by Highway Officers, following reports from the public.

On receipt of reports, our Highway Inspection team make an assessment, determine if works are required and if so, the appropriate response times and repair method. It is in these instances only the larger defects are repaired; those which meet the safety intervention levels as outlined in the Inspection Policy. I can confirm that this section of road is currently on our Capital Maintenance list for extensive resurfacing which we hope will be carried out within the next 12-24 months. We always try were possible to adhere to the dates given, but unfortunately there are occasions when we have to delay the work due to unforeseen circumstances.
