Blocked drain causing flooding on main road and contributing to the road deterioration before zebra crossing
Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 19:41, Mon 22 January 2024
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5477719.
This drain has been blocked for several months. Either that or a burst water main by the drain.
The water runs down the road towards the Turnfurlong Rd turning and the zebra crossing on Camborne Ave. This regular flooding is sure to be a contributing factor in the failure of the road surface.
Why has the council ignored this part of the road for so long, ie >9 months?!!

This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
