Not a blocked drain but...
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 16:00, Wed 10 January 2024
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5425434.
Environmental Health advised the caller to get in contact with us. As I understand... Gulleys at the bottom of the road's natural incline appear to be emergency releases for raw sewerage that carries down the pipes of the road. When the pumps are not working, or after very heavy rain the sewerage is overflowing into the watercourse at the back of no15. This is a popular play spot for children of the area, esp. Pightle Crescent, and could be the source of health issues. The caller is trying to work with Anglian Water to get this sorted and has been for the last number of years but is getting nowhere. Environmental Health think that this is something that the Highways team may need to know. If further information i required please get in contact with Daniel on the following information.

This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
