Long term parking in the loading bay

Reported via desktop in the Parking in a restricted space category anonymously at 09:45, Wed 29 November 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5263918.

This problem has persisted for quite some time, with vehicles being parked in the loading bay for the entire day. The loading bay, which is designated for the purpose of facilitating the loading and unloading of goods, has become a regular parking spot for some individuals. This unauthorised use of the loading bay not only hampers the smooth flow of traffic but also poses safety risks, as it obstructs the movement of delivery vehicles and emergency services. I kindly request that immediate action be taken to address this issue. Increased monitoring and enforcement of parking regulations in the loading bay area would greatly help in deterring illegal parking.

  • This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.

Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
