Clearly still an issue with drainage not solved

Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 06:07, Wed 29 November 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5263344.

Two weeks after my last fix my street report, it is clear this has still not been resolved by a technician. Heavily flooded again on Kingswood Lane just after the turning to Yeat. Warning signs either side would be beneficial, especially for those who are not aware of this area flooding. Drains being cleared would also be helpful. I have never seen this being done in almost 7 years of living here! Now that the nights are getting colder and when freezing temperatures start this patch becomes deadly with ice from the flood water. When will this be sorted?

  • This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.

We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
