End of oakington avenue, towards chalfont and latimer station

Reported via mobile in the Parking on double yellow lines category anonymously at 11:47, Thu 23 November 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5245229.

This has been an ongoing problem for several months. There are a few persistent offenders. Usually there was either one maximum two cars parked on the double yellow lines. Last week, however, there were three cars. This caused difficulty for drivers, entering Oakington Avenue. It also was a safety issue because it was difficult for drivers to see children crossing or on the pavement.

The school has always requested parents to respect an “unofficial One Way System”. This involves going down Oakington Avenue towards Oldfield close and then taking a lift back to Amersham Road. They have been a couple of incidences which I myself have witnessed involving V010 UYX. The driver has made three point turn is involving dangerous mounting of the pavement. On one occasion, a child on the scooter was nearly hit.

On another occasion, two children walking on the pavement that was mounted, were nearly hurt.

KV10 ENN he’s an inconsiderate driver, both in the mornings, and in the afternoons, parking on double yellow lines, more often than not. I have also noticed driving above the speed limit and harsh braking.

Please can you intervene as it’s only a matter of time before someone or a child, is hurt.
