Reported via mobile in the Flooding on a road/footpath category by Jo Bishop at 10:08, Thu 23 November 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5244656.
Clear Water has been leaking from water/man hole cover for around 4 months. It has been marked /sprayed blue 3 times but not repaired. When you phone Thames Water to report issue they are refusing to come out /investigate as they are saying it’s natural water ??!!There is a natural stream that flows from the other side of hill unfortunately despite my best efforts to explain to Thames Water this is not the flow of water I’m talking about (It’s the one in image sprayed blue ) they advised I contacted council . The rain water run off from 3 hills ,a constant natural stream flow from 1 side of hill ,a possible mains water constant leak from either . Accumulates At bottom of hills (Valley ) as shown in picture. The drain is most definitely is blocked one side of road opposite main golf club entrance. The drain Burnham Beeches Golf Club Side entrance side often gets blocked with mud ,leaves etc. This is causing the road to erode ,pot holes etc… At times the depth of water is so deep it’s impassable to walkers ,joggers ,horse riders ,a danger to cyclists as the pot hole can’t be seen. There is a small pot hole one side of bottom of hill also and the repaired pot hole wasn’t done properly due to constant flow of water . I am very concerned that as we are due to get cold overnight temperatures it’s going to freeze and there will be a road traffic accident due to water freezing. Please can the leak be fixed .The drains ,cleared, unblocked ,the pot holes repaired properly the road gritted to avoid an accident when the temperature is freezing . This section of lane is used by many people daily Golf club users ,local residents,Visitors to Burnham Beeches either by foot or car . Thank you
