Market Place is a shopping street with many of our shops relying on footfall to keep their businesses afloat. In these trying times we really need to be working to increase footfall. A number of shops who aren’t relying on footfall or who are not the business owners are using the shopping street to park all day. We are also seeing residents doing the same. Please send regular wardens to help our small independent shops stay in business.

    Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
