Slippery bridge surfaces

Reported via mobile in the Cleaning/Sweeping category anonymously at 20:03, Monday 20 November 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 1 day, 12 hours, 19 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 5234722.

The two bridges in Desborough Rec have become very slippery due to a build-up of decaying leaves and mud. The rear bridge gets little or no sunshine at this time of year, meaning it rarely dries out. I have today cleared the rear bridge surface of leaves. The bridge footboards used either need replacing or coating with a non-slip product. The bridges are used by many of the schoolchildren attending Millbrook, accompanied by vulnerable pregnant mums and respective elderly grandparents.
