Crossover to 2 Pound Crescent

Ref 4473242. A repair was carried out today to the footpath on the crossover to the driveway of 2 Pound Crescent. This was to repair a large depression where the pavement had sunk following the previous backfilling of a water main repair. This is exacerbated by the regular visits of a Thames Water tanker to empty the pumping chamber at the top of the drive. Unfortunately the extent to which the backfilling had consolidated had resulted in the depression of the roadway, dropped kerbs and footpath. The contractors here today had only been briefed that it was a footpath repair and have been able to do nothing with the kerbs or roadway. The repair can only be deemed temporary and they believe that in it current state it remains a trip hazard needing an urgent and permanent repair

This has been passed to the local area technician to investigate the enquiry/issue regarding the kerb.
They will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days and if required arrange to resolve the issue.

We have completed our inspection of the issue and have made arrangements for it to be resolved within 6-8 weeks.
