Outside building site

Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 16:28, Thu 16 November 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5220642.

There is currently building work going on opposite 153 kingsmead road and over the last few days they have been pumping concrete into the building site and the over spill from the concrete has been running into the storm drain and over the road and pavement. If I’m honest they have made a right old mess and this needs addressing as storm drain is now full with water and I suspect concrete. With all the rain we are having at the moment I don’t think it will be long until the road starts flooding.

  • This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.

We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
