5057191 was job. But it's been dropped and not addressed.

Reported via Android in the Blocked drain category by Sherrilyn Bateman Cllr at 12:03, Wed 15 November 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5214787.

We have been reporting this problem for over a year and the jobs get dropped without being solved.

When is the problem scheduled for action? Please do let the local Councillors know so we can update the residents.

Students and bus users are being splashed every set day due to the blocked gully. Please visit and look at all the gullies. Some have large weeds in them, big enough to be Aylesbury Garden Town by themselves ;).

Jane Mason of BC mentioned to keep raising tasks on FixMyStreet along with the weeds on Walton St, gyratory and up as far as Bedgrove Central reservation. These are setting off cars location alerts they are so large and encroaching into the street space.

These are gateways to Aylesbury and the impression to visitors isn't ideal.

I look forward to hearing from you.

  • This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.

We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
