These concrete type bins (as per the one here by the red phone box on Seymour Park Road at junction with Oak Tree Road) of which there are many in this area have been here since I was a child so 50yrs+. They are ridiculously small for all the waste/cans/bottles/packaging and poo bags etc this day and age and have no cover to them, so they fill up quickly, are often too full to put anything else in and one gust of wind then…. this!… as per photo. What a mess, all over the pavements, grass verges, plastic and waste ends up on the roadway too… all when most people are trying to do their bit to keep such plastic waste from going down drains, to rivers and seas. “Marlow wombles” volunteer to clean up in their free time but how frustrating when they turn a corner and see this, pretty much every day, all because the bin is way too small, hardly bigger than a kitchen bin and has no lid/cover so it blows out down the road. These concrete bins particularly around Londis in Oak Tree Road area (so Southview Rd, Oak Tree Road, Oak Tree Avenue (both ends of alley) and the one at the bottom end of the Cemetery are always overflowing with rubbish daily. This photo was taken on Thursday at 13:13 so this bin was full by then as they all are usually and please look at the mess as a result of it being blown (including dog poo in bags) all over the place. I cleared some up myself but the bins (including those directly outside the Post Office and Londis) are ridiculously small to cope with the volume of waste and the whole area is a mess as they overflow and have no lids like the black bins nearer the town area. This is a daily occurrence and it makes me feel angry and frustrated seeing so much mess everywhere in these areas, when for the sake of having proper, bigger bins (with covers) more capable of taking the waste it would be far less of a problem. Please can this be forwarded to the relevant department and can these bins in this whole area be upgraded to stop this happening
