Missing/ broken drain cover, leaving a rectangular opening in the grass verge that any pedestrian could fall in, to a depth of 4 feet. The opening is at right angles to the road and is 3 foot long by 1 foot wide. The location is best described from the perspective of someone on foot who is following The Aylesbury Ring long distance walking route. Coming from the direction of Ford, you meet Ford Road at a gate through the hedge. Ford Road is a fast, busy road with NO FOOTPATH on either side of the road. The walker needs to turn right and keep on the grassy verge for about 100 metres, before crossing the road to the gate through the hedge on the other side of Ford Road. But it is 15 metres along the right hand grassy verge that the pedestrian is at enormous risk of stepping into the void. The verge grass is long. As an extreme hazard to pedestrians the void is unmarked in any way. I think this walking route may also form part of the The Wychert Way. Thank you
