Several lights in Desborough Rd High Wycombe near old Cafe Nero and House of Fraser

Several street lights are out of action in Desborough Rd ( Eden shopping centre area ) and on opposite side of Road near Castle House ( Hp11 2FP) and by Self storage are out in evenings and night. This area is now very dark and it is dangerous.

The Street Lighting Team will carry out an inspection and order a repair if required, this can take up to 20 working days; however, due to the exceptionally high volume of reports currently being received, it may at present take longer than usual to complete this initial assessment.
Once the issue has been investigated, the team will order any necessary repair.

We have attended the site and have carried out a full assessment on the lighting column, 95% of lighting reports are repaired on the first visit, as they are generally more minor issues such as replacing the bulb. Unfortunately, there are occasions when further work is required.
This assessment highlighted that there is a fault with the electrical supply and further investigation is required by the local electricity network operator, we have forwarded the details to them. We cannot work on their network, and we also have no control over the electricity supplier service levels, which tend to be up to 90 working days.
Once the electricity supplier has contacted us to advise the supply fault has been resolved, we will then check that the issue is fixed and will update this report.
