Ongoing concern of cars/vans speeding up Church Street and continuing on into Church Walk a pedestrian walk way. This has been reported numerous times and the fact we need a bollard at the top of Church Street to prevent this happening. There is a danger someone will get hurt or injured due to vehicles going into a pedestrian only area. We walk directly onto the street from our house and it is dangerous. The photo attached was driven by a driver who got stuck in the narrow pathway. She asked me to forward the photo on.

  • This has been passed to the local area technician to investigate the enquiry/issue regarding the footpath/pavement/cyclepath.

    They will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days and if required arrange to resolve the issue.

    We have completed our inspection of the issue and have made arrangements for it to be resolved within 6-8 weeks.

    Please be assured, we will continue to monitor the area in line with our Highways Safety Inspection Policy.
