Bollards not working

Reported via desktop in the Bollards or railings category anonymously at 18:34, Fri 27 October 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5145772.

The bollards between Fairford Leys Way and Fowler Road are down once again (as of 8am on Thursday 27 October).

The issue was fixed in recently but has since recurred. This is a regular problem and, as a result, we are seeing a lot of unauthorised traffic coming through where the bollards used to be, as drivers are now used to the road restrictions being regularly down.

Can a more robust fix be put in place to stop this occurring? Thank you.

Updates

  • This has been passed to your local area technician to investigate the enquiry/issue.

They will carry out an inspection and order a repair if required, this can take up to 20 working days. If however, a replacement bollard/railing is required, we will need to order this as we do not hold them in stock and this can take up to 6-8 weeks.
