Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5139127.
This is yet another request to have the drainage sorted outside our house. It has been requested several times, the work carried out on 31 May last one day before the road was flooded again. When I next sent a request it was scheduled for the work to be done in 6-8 weeks from 6 July, nothing had happened. The verge is being worn away so the earth and stones are filling the drain so compounding the problem when it rains. I will now be writing to my MP about this as it needs to be sorted before an accident happens, cars are seen driving in the middle of the road to avoid the water, most often the water stretches right across the road. Please, please could this be sorted and soon. At present there is a large piece of a bumper left outside which clearly came from a vehicle which hit the water at speed which shows how bad it has been. Thank you

This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
