Parmoor Lane on the bend near the cricket club

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 12:42, Fri 13 October 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5093997.

Once again this drain has blocked causing flooding in the area. The blocking of this drain causes a cascade effect whereby water runs down the lane towards Pargrove causing the drain outside Parmoor Chase to become overloaded (which in turns eventually leads to the drain blocking and consequent flooding of the garden). Please can this drain be unblocked again and surrounding mud cleared away? Please can this drain be inspected and unblocked more frequently?

Updates

  • This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.

We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
