Grid located at back of footpath on the edge of the crossover.
Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category by Derrick Ardern at 13:59, Thu 12 October 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5090329.
The grid leads into a surface water drain that runs underneath the grass verge. The grid is not in the gully running along the edge of the road but is back of footpath and takes surface water running off the road and across the crossover which slopes from the road . The grid is full to the top with debris and is ineffective. When it rains surface water collects at the entrance drive to no. 93.

This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
