Rignall Road near Mapridge Green Lane
Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category by Laurence May at 18:30, Wed 11 October 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5087658.
These 3 drains are directly outside Rignall Farm Cottages. The road and our driveway flooded to about 2 inches recently and the water was up against the wall of our house. This was a direct result of the state of the drains.
The photos show that they need to be cleared. I know that there is a scheduled clean but I would like to request that this is bought forward and perhaps our drains can be cleared more regularly than others - after all there is clear evidence that this is one of the only locations in the Gt Missenden area that is susceptible to flooding.
Thanks. Laurence.

This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
