Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category by Lee Clifton at 08:13, Thu 21 September 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5016242.
There is three drains at the end of the Gables that are blocked causing the turning point to flood. Both houses at the end have to lift the drains in our gardens because the water comes right up to our properties. With more inclement weather on the way, can you please fix the problem soonest. I suspect the trees have caused the drain to collapse.
This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.
We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
