Drainage is overflowing and causing severe damage to The Common road (gravel road going downhill). Please we need help to fix the erosion in the common road caused by this overflowing drainage as well.

Reported via desktop in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 07:05, Thu 21 September 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5016072.

Drainage facing the semidetached houses in 'The Common' (GolfLink/Cottage). Is it also possible to increase the size of the drainage intake/or add more drainages as soo much water flows from the higher area. This is severely eroding the gravel road (The common) which is causing trouble to residents (few elderly people who have cars where the road is knocking the bottom of the car)

Updates

  • This has been passed to the Local Area Technician to investigate.

We know that an important part of any road network is the drainage system which is designed to carry water away from the road surface. Even when a gully is clean and well maintained it will only cope with a certain volume of water at one time, a sudden and heavy downpour can still cause flooding especially if the road is in a low lying area.
