Please can a police officer (or several) attend outside this school at school pick-up time? Drove along the road yesterday at 330 to find multiple cars on double-yellow lines, parked on pavements completely obstructing them for anyone walking along, parking on the zig-zags by the crossing, literally parking inbetween the "please park responsibly" signs that the school put up, parking on the corner of Gillets Lane so that cars cannot see to pull out into traffic. Multiple parents with children and prams/strollers crossing inbetween parked cars. Someone will get injured or worse here. The school cannot deny responsibility and the police must get involved with this. Please DO NOT just pass to the "local parking warden" because there obviously isn't one doing their job here.
This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.
Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
