Unnecessary use of traffic lights for “roadworks”

Reported via iOS in the Footpath / pavement problem category anonymously at 09:07, Wed 13 September 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4987057.

Two way light have been set up by Thames water, despite the actual work site being a considerable distance from the road. There appears to be two sites, both of which can easily be passed by pedestrians without having to walk into the road. There is a car park area right next to both sites and therefore no need to park on the road. Even so, there is a central reservation that can surely provide an effective contra flow, therefore negating the need for traffic lights. This site is right opposite a bus stop and causes chaos when traffic is trying to get through and easily causes gridlock.
