Roadworks at night when only authorised for days.
Reported via mobile in the Overrun date published category anonymously at 22:04, Mon 4 September 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council 11 hours, 12 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 4959014.
Letters that were received by residents clearly state hours of work are 0700-1900 however it is 2200 and they're working. I have spoken to the site manager and they have been booked for night shifts with over two weeks notice yet residents weren't. How are we supposed to go to our work in the morning without sleep. Had we have been notified we could have made arrangements. This is unacceptable and a joke. What do we pay you for?

Most planned roadworks are completed before the published end date, however, in some cases they can overrun due to unforeseen circumstances for example bad weather. The Utility Company should contact us, as the Highway Authority and request permission to extend their stay and may incur daily fines if they do not adhere to the conditions within their permit.
A Highway Officer will attend the site and make contact with the Utility Company, to discuss the terms of their permit conditions.
