Reported via desktop in the Weed problem on the highway category anonymously at 12:01, Wed 9 August 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4873889.

Pedestrian Safety: It has become increasingly difficult for pedestrians, to safely navigate due to the overgrowth. This often forces us to step onto the road to bypass these obstructions, putting us in harm's way. Such scenarios could lead to accidents, which would be regrettable and avoidable if the vegetation was regularly maintained.

Visibility of Highway Code Signs: The overgrown greenery is obscuring the visibility of vital traffic and highway code signs, creating potential traffic hazards. These signs are crucial for road safety, and any obstruction could lead to misunderstandings or unawareness of essential road information.

Damage to Vehicles: Some of the more invasive and rampant overgrowth is encroaching onto the roads and has been observed to hit or scratch cars that pass by. This could lead to damage claims and is certainly inconvenient and potentially costly for drivers.

Proper upkeep is essential not just for the aesthetic appeal of our county but, more importantly, for the safety and well-being of its residents and visitors.
