Road closed sign in dangerous location

The section of road between little Horwood and the railway bridge on the windows road has been closed several times in the last year. Each time Road closed signs are put up so that the get back to the sign is facing the oncoming traffic as per the photos. This blends in with their road surface making it very hard to see as you approach and therefore makes a hazard that I have nearly hit each time this happens.

Please can someone move it to the other side of the road so that the brightly coloured closed side of the sign is placed towards the oncoming traffic so that it can be safely seen and avoided and a note added to stop this happening again- it is very dangerously paced at the moment. That’s

  • This has been passed to the local area technician to investigate, they will carry out an inspection within the next 10 working days and if required arrange to resolve the issue.

    The issue/defect has been made safe with a temporary repair. A permanent repair will be made when resource is available.
