On new crossing outside 122 hatters lane
Reported via mobile in the Flooding on a road/footpath category anonymously at 19:23, Monday 17 July 2023
Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4796972.
Since the day the new crossing was built outside my house there has been flooding on the road and footpath and over the tactile paving when ever it rains. Causing people to walk in the road to avoid the ponding. Also me and my family are getting splashed by the water when ever we are leaving or coming home to our house. As pedestrians are using the road to avoid the ponding and the tactile paving is covered by rain causing blind people to get confused when trying to identify where the crossing is so this really is an accident waiting to happen. Children from the school are not using the crossing to avoid getting wet and this is the very reason the crossing was installed. I think the kerbs and tactile paving and surrounding dbm should be raised along with the road tarmac to allow the water to flow down the gully. The kerbs were placed too low in the first place. I’m surprised these issues wasn’t flagged up on the snagging list after the crossing was installed. Thankyou Darren Foulds
