Parking in the area has become a real issue since the new gym has opened up. People will turn up to park 5 minutes after the restriction ends for the day and many are not parking sensibly or safely and will leave their cars quite some distance from the kerb. People are also parking in such a way that larger vehicles such as an ambulance would struggle to get down. this could be solved by the parking restriction times being extended for example 12-6 Monday to Friday. This has been an issue since the beginning of the year.

    Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
