The road sign that alerts traffic to the left turn coming up into Cheddington via West End Road is OBSCURED BY HEDGE GROWTH

Reported via desktop in the Hedge problem category anonymously at 11:28, Fri 23 June 2023

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4707980.

Traffic coming from the staggered two mini roundabouts cross roads outside the village can hardly see the road sign alerting them to the left turn into the village coming up. Traffic speeds up as it leaves the crossroads driving towards Long Marston and not seeing the road sign means it carries on faster and is not looking out for traffic exiting from West End Road and the height of the verge grass at the junction means that neither the traffic about to pass the junction nor the cars trying to exit the junction can see each other until the cars exiting, do exit. There has apparently already been one accident and you need, please, do deal with the exposure of the left turn sign (and the verge cutting at the junction, which I have reported separately today) ASAP please. Thank you. Cheddington Resident
